Summer's almost over!

It's hard to believe that summer is almost over. This year we've had an abnormally rainy season in Colorado. But hopefully the fall won't be too rainy!

So there are still some things you can get out and do around town before the weather turns too cold.

Here are some ideas:

Take more hikes! http://www.everytrail.com/best/hiking-colorado

In the next month or so, the trees should be changing color in Colorado. So get out and see them!

There are still also many festivals to enjoy. For example, Oktoberfest (which ironically happens in September), is always a fun time.
Denver Oktoberfest – Denver, CO – Sept 19-21 & 26-28, 2014
Larimer Street in Denver’s Historic Ballpark Neighborhood is transformed for two weekends in September for this celebration of German culture. Over 250,000 people attend Oktoberfest Denver annually. Entertainment includes stein hoisting, long dog derby, keg bowling, Dashustlehoff 5K, bratwurst eating contest, costume contest and live music. Location: 20th and Larimer, Denver CO

There are also corn mazes and pumpkin patches to explore as well.

Ghost Hunting at the Brown Palace Hotel

Did you know that Colorado has many haunted places?  Last Friday, some students went ghost hunting at the Brown Palace Hotel.
I don't think any ghosts were found...

While listening to the stories, some students got "goosebumps!"
There were no actual ghost sightings, but students still had fun scaring one another!!

BBQ AT WASH PARK!

Last Friday's BBQ at Washington Park was a success, and there was a good turnout! The weather was perfect and everyone had a good time.

Here are some students chillin' in the sun- and enjoying good BBQ.

Also, there were soccer and volleyball games!

This past week we have said goodbye to many students at CSE who were only here for a brief period of time.
We wish you all the best of luck!!!

ROCK CLIMBING

Congratulations to all the students who went rock climbing and made it all the way to the top! Now you are ready to climb the real Rocky Mountains!

Fearless students...

Students learned how to tie figure 8 knots, belay, and rappel!

As we heard from one of the students, "I very like stoneclimbing." We are happy you enjoyed this activity!

Join us next Friday for a BBQ at Washington Park!
