The Colorado Rockies and things to do in the Rockies

OUR STUDENTS WERE GOOD LUCK AT THE GAME LAST FRIDAY-THE ROCKIES WON!

If you couldn't make this game, I'm sure there will be more baseball games to come!
In the meantime, are you looking for more fun things to do this summer? 

There are always so many things to do in Colorado during the summer season. The first thing you should check off your list is visiting the Rockies themselves (the nickname given the
mountain range directly west of us!)

WHAT CAN YOU DO IN THE ROCKIES?

Well, there's camping, fishing, hiking, boating, rock-climbing, river-rafting, or just sitting outside to admire the beautiful views.

DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL!

We had a fun but HOT day at the Dragon Boat Festival! It was difficult not to jump into the lake to get relief from the heat!

 It was a fun group-we took lots of group photos!

 The best part was Koyuki and Yuri won the Dragon Boat Races!!!
Good job you guys!!!

The Butterfly Pavilion!

 Last Friday we went to see butterflies.
They were so beautiful. Did you know that if you touch a butterfly, it shortens their lifespan?

Some of the students were brave enough to hold Rosie, the tarantula!

       Here is a picture of Guillermo and Angelica with a Praying Mantis.

Friday at the Zoo

So last Friday, a small group of us

went to see the elephants.

 We also saw some crazy birds and watched a bird show.

Unfortunately, many of the animals were hiding...

 and as someone said (was it Angelica?) we were the only animals in the park. haha.

 But we still had a good time!
